The tables, buffets and servers are considered "New French" style dating from 1608-1790. They reflect the colonization period of Quebec. Their simplicity shows the primitive unsophisticated nature of furniture making resulting in part from the lack of proper equipment. Craftsmen were much more concerned with the furniture's functionality than its beauty.
